After
BeforeThe project
After extensive renovation work, the König family knew one thing for certain: the new rooms deserved window decoration that was both thoughtful and stylish. In the kitchen, the soft tones of the wooden cabinets and the elegant marble island were to be accentuated by matching curtains – a wish that Golnia fulfilled perfectly with custom-made wave curtains in S-wave design.
The wave curtain lends the kitchen a calm, flowing elegance and integrates seamlessly into the overall concept. For the small kitchen window, the family chose a black wooden blind that harmonizes with the cabinets in color while providing practical privacy. This created a harmonious balance between functionality and design in the kitchen.
In the living room, however, the König family wanted a sporty, modern look. The large window front with access to the garden offered the ideal opportunity for a special solution: a continuous curtain on a curved track, extending from the window opening to the wall, creates spaciousness and dynamism. The curtain was finished with pleating at the lower hem, giving the room a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.
With Golnia's custom-made solutions, the König family has created exactly the ambiance they envisioned in every room – elegant in the kitchen, sporty in the living room, and expertly crafted throughout.
The interview
- What was particularly important to you when designing your freshly renovated rooms?
- It was important to us that the window decoration matched the new furniture and materials perfectly. In the kitchen, we placed great emphasis on soft wood tones and marble – the curtains should complement this elegance without being intrusive. In the living room, on the other hand, we wanted something more modern, more dynamic.
- Why did you choose wave curtains for the kitchen?
- The S-wave look is simply very harmonious and calm. It matches our wooden cabinets and marble island wonderfully. We also didn't want heavy, overloaded curtains – the wave curtain is just right: elegant, but not obtrusive.
- How did the idea for the continuous curtain in the living room come about?
- We wanted to really showcase the large window front facing the garden. The curved track from the window opening to the wall gives the room a wonderful sense of spaciousness. And the pleating at the hem creates that relaxed, dynamic look we were hoping for.
- How satisfied are you with the result from Golnia?
- Very satisfied! Each room now has exactly the atmosphere we envisioned. The quality is excellent, and the consultation was very professional. You can tell that the work is done with great experience and attention to detail.
